We strive to ensure that you have a pleasant and relaxing stay with us. We do everything we can to make sure that nothing disturbs your peace during your time here. However, if you notice anything that is not to your satisfaction, please do not hesitate to contact us. We kindly ask all our guests to help us preserve the condition of 44 George House and its furnishings, as well as to maintain order and cleanliness in the house. Therefore, we ask you to refrain from any activities that you would also avoid in your own home.
By submitting a booking request, accepting an offer, or sending a booking request via our website, the guest acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted the current terms and conditions, booking policies, and house rules.
Booking Policy:
Within 24 hours of the booking, a payment of 50% of the total amount is required via bank transfer invoice. The remaining amount must be paid no later than 7 days before arrival, also via bank transfer invoice. In case of a no-show, we are unable to refund the cost of the accommodation.
Flexible Cancellation Policy:

Bookings can be cancelled free of charge up to 131 days before the arrival date.

Between 130 and 8 days before arrival, the deposit is non-refundable.

From 7 days before arrival, the full cost of the booking will be charged.

We recommend all our guests to take out travel cancellation insurance in the name of the person making the booking (the attached insurance also covers costs in case of illness of travel companions).
The cost of the cancellation insurance depends on the total cost of the booking.

Check-in / Check-out:
Check-in is available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival. On the day of departure, the house must be vacated by 10:00 AM at the latest. Subject to availability, a late check-out may be requested for an additional fee.
The owner will hold the reserved accommodation until 8:00 PM on the day of arrival. After this time, the owner is entitled to offer it to others. If you expect to arrive later, please contact us in advance by phone.
When leaving 44 George House, the keys must be returned to the host. In case of lost keys, guests are required to report it immediately and reimburse the host for the cost of replacement or lock change.
The host reserves the right to check—without prior notice—whether the number of guests staying matches the number paid for.
Payment:
The deposit must be paid via bank transfer before arrival.
If you leave earlier than the reserved period, we are unable to reduce or refund the accommodation fee.
The price includes the local tourist tax.
Locking the premises:
During your stay, upon leaving, and at night, please make sure to lock the gates and entrances of the building! The front door of 44 George House can be locked by lifting the handle before turning the key.
Please take good care of the keys. When leaving the house, pay special attention to closing the windows (including skylights).
Smoking:
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the building! It is only allowed in designated areas (terrace, garden).
We kindly ask our smoking guests to help keep the premises clean by disposing of cigarette butts in the bins provided and not littering anywhere in the garden or around the house.
Use of furnishings:
Please use all furnishings and equipment as intended!
It is forbidden to remove any furniture or equipment (including towels, except wellness towels), blankets, or bed linen from the house. Rearranging the furniture is not allowed.
Rooms are inspected upon arrival and departure. In case of damage, the cost will be charged on-site or deducted from the deposit.
The host is not responsible for any material damages or accidents resulting from improper use of the property.
Cleaning:
Guests will receive 44 George House in clean condition and are expected to maintain cleanliness during their stay.
Upon departure, please do not leave dirty dishes or garbage behind.
Rooms are handed over cleaned; fresh bed linen and towels can be requested during your stay for an additional charge.
Guests are responsible for keeping the accommodation clean during their stay. The owner is not obliged to clean or empty trash bins during this time.
Meals:
44 George House has a fully equipped kitchen. A gas stove is available for cooking and an electric oven for baking.
Do not put any metal objects into the microwave.
Please refrain from eating in the rooms; meals should be taken in the kitchen or dining area only.
Waste disposal:
Household waste should be placed in the kitchen bin. Extra garbage bags can be found in the cupboard.
If the bin fills up during your stay, please empty it into the large outdoor containers next to the house.
Fire pit / Cooking outdoors:
Fires may only be made at the designated fire pit, using the provided firewood, during calm weather and with a bucket of water nearby.
Please extinguish embers after use and leave the fire pit in the condition in which you found it.
Only the firewood and paper provided may be used. Burning other materials (e.g., plastic, rubber) is strictly prohibited!
Do not use oil, kerosene, or gasoline.
Pets:
Dogs, cats, and other pets are welcome for an additional fee.
Wellness:
Please be aware of the risk of slipping in the sauna area.
Glassware is strictly prohibited in the sauna, jacuzzi, and pool areas.
Children are only allowed in these areas under parental supervision.
Other:
Please use the handrails on the stairs to avoid accidents.
Parents are asked to pay special attention to their children due to potential hazards such as staircases, terraces, windows, and the garden well.
44 George House is equipped with central heating.
The thermostat is coded and can only be adjusted by the host, based on weather conditions or upon request.
To respect the peace of the neighborhood, guests are required to observe the local noise regulations.
At night or when leaving, please lock the entrances. During the day, when leaving the property, make sure all windows and doors are closed.
This helps prevent water damage from rain and avoids unauthorized entry.
Please note:
The owner cannot be held liable or provide compensation for damages caused by circumstances beyond their control (e.g., open doors, burglary, natural disasters, hail, fire, power outage, etc.).
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings and valuables. The host accepts no liability for items brought into or left at 44 George House.
In case of loss, the host bears no responsibility.
Any damage caused by improper use or negligence must be reimbursed by the guest directly to the host.
The owner reserves the right to take action against guests who behave inappropriately or violate the house rules, including immediate removal from 44 George House.
In such cases, the accommodation fee will be retained by the owner as a penalty.
If, due to unforeseen circumstances, the host is unable to accommodate a prepaid reservation despite best efforts, the full amount of the reservation will be refunded to the guest.
In such cases, the host is not liable for any additional compensation.
Upon arrival, guests are required to sign a Liability Statement, which is a condition of occupying the accommodation.
Any damages caused by guests must be settled on-site.
The current version of the booking policy has been in effect since November 1, 2021.
By booking on 44georgehouse.com, the guest automatically accepts the terms and house rules.
